The Mendoza Intercultural Association
Created in 2008, the Mendoza Intercultural Association (MIA) is a non–profit organization based in Mendoza, Argentina, dedicated to intercultural exchange between Argentinians and people from other cultures of the world.
The association was formed out of a strong belief in the richness and importance of
promoting international understanding by allowing people from diverse cultures to share and
communicate their experiences, their knowledge, their history, and their ideas in a relaxed,
culturally enriching ambience.
The primary purpose of MIA is to encourage and facilitate intercultural exchange and understanding through a variety of recreational, cultural, tourism and artistic activities. These activities may include courses, meetings, performances and dissemination of information
The association is currently in the process of developing a variety of programs in areas that may potentially include: music of various genres, literature, poetry, fine arts, dance, gastronomy, architecture, Mendoza wine culture and history, the indigenous cultures of Argentina, and encouragement of intercultural exchange through travel and living in diverse cultures.
