Combine business with pleasure.
Hear objective presentations on the
local real estate scene and learn from experts and expat property
owners about the pleasures and pitfalls of investing in a second home,
a vineyard or a vacation or rental apartment. You will learn about
the local culture with winery visits, wine tastings, gourmet food
experiences and, not to be missed, a memorable excursion in the Andes mountains.
Since Argentina devalued the peso and set the exchange at about three pesos to the U.S. dollar, investors from all over the world have come to Mendoza to buy real estate—including vineyards-- for personal or business reasons. While there are some truly attractive reasons to invest in Mendoza, Internet come-ons don’t always tell the whole story. This workshop will help you identify the difference between what is basically advertising and what are the facts.
The workshop agenda will offer a balanced and impartial view of the pros and cons. You'll hear from experts on law, taxes, real estate appraisal and other key facets of investing, so that you'll better be able to assess the financial feasibility of buying various types of Mendoza real estate.
These are only some of the issues you’ll be able to explore and seek answers to during this introduction to Mendoza’s real estate scene. But you’ll also have plenty of time to interact with the presenters and explore other issues that may be especially important to you.
To round out the picture, you’ll also meet and hear the real-life experiences of expatriates—with everything from international money transfer to lifestyle adjustments--- who have made the commitment and bought property in Mendoza. Visits to vineyards, wine tasting, dining at top restaurants and an excursion into the Andes mountains will also immerse you in Mendoza culture and lifestyle.
The Posada de Rosas, our small,centrally-located boutique inn, will be your base for lodging and for a number of the sessions on investing issues. At the inn, which is walking distance from Mendoza’s main square, parks, restaurants and shopping, you’ll enjoy attentive, personal service and comfortable local ambience—ranging from a fresh rose in your room to the garden, pool and terrace with its Argentine barbeque and grape arbor.
One final tip: Check with your tax advisor to determine if some or all of the costs of this trip would be tax-deductible in the U.S.
