About the Owners Riccardo and Ellen

Your tour operators are Ellen Hoffman and Riccardo Accurso. They're fluent in Spanish and as part-time residents of Mendoza, they are constantly researching and updating their knowledge of Mendoza's wines, wineries, restaurants, and off-the-beaten track experiences that you won't get on a mass package tour.

Ellen and Riccardo have both traveled extensively throughout the world and have a good understanding of what travelers need and deserve. Both Ellen and Riccardo have lived in Spain for many years.

Ellen has served as a cultural guide for tours sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. As a free-lance travel writer, Ellen has written two travel books and has had travel articles published in the Washington Post and numerous other national newspapers and magazines, and has contributed to many travel guidebooks.

Riccardo had a brief tenure as a college professor (Reed College, 1968-70) which was abandoned in favor of a more adventurous career as a travelling artist. In that latter role, he had the opportunity to both live and work in Mexico, Greece, England, India, and Spain, where he lived for three years and where he met Ellen.
